Caption: "Lilouette [sic] Falls," c. 1917. Illilouette Falls is a 370-foot waterfall in Yosemite located on the Illilouette Creek, a small tributary of the Merced River. The photograph was taken from a point above the summit of the falls.

Caption: "Seattle Docks," c. 1914. Dock facilities at Seattle, showing a clock tower, as well as the G.T.P., or Grand Trunk Pacific, dock, a shipping pier at the end of Madison Street (the G.T.P. watchtower is visible at the far left of the photograph). This dock, built in 1910, was destroyed by a fire on July 30, 1914. It was rebuilt, but without the watchtower, and served the city until 1964 when it was demolished.

Caption: "Washington Park, Albany, New York, Sept. 8, 1934." Albany's Washington Park was established in the early 1870s. Washington Park Lake, a portion of which is seen in this photograph, was created by damming Beaverkill Creek in 1873. The Lake House in the photograph was constructed in 1929, replacing an earlier building.

Caption: "Bullion Bend Monument," c. 1920. William and Grace McCarthy standing in front of an automobile, near a stone monument. Bullion Bend, located between Pollock Pines and Whitehall in the historic Highway 50 corridor, was the scene of a stagecoach robbery in 1864 in which silver bullion was stolen by robbers claiming to need the money in order to support the Confederate Army.
