According to census information available online, the population of Savannah in 1930 consisted of 54.2% white, 45.7% black.

Two unidentified men standing in front of a large barn or shed, with numerous barrels surrounding them, presumably for turpentine and other resin products. After being harvested from pine trees, resin is then subjected to steam distillation to evaporate off the turpentine.
