Caption: "Lower Falls," c. 1923. As the Yellowstone River flows north from Yellowstone Lake it passes over two waterfalls (Upper and Lower Yellowstone Falls) before reaching the Yellowstone Grand Canyon. This photograph shows the 308-foot Lower Yellowstone Falls, as viewed from the base of the falls. It carries more water volume than any other waterfall in the Rocky Mountains.

Caption: "Watervliet Arsenal Entrance," c. 1925. A tree-lined driveway to the Watervliet Arsenal Entrance. The Arsenal was founded in 1813 in Watervliet, New York, to support the War of 1812. Today the Arsenal houses the U.S. Army's Benét Laboratories, part of the Army's Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center.

Caption: "Burnt Arlington Dock, Seattle." This photograph shows the result of a fire at Seattle's Arlington Dock on May 7, 1906. Heavy fire damage can be seen on the building pictured. Its roof and the central portion of the façade collapsed, and burn marks appear at all windows. Thousands of dollars' worth of supplies were destroyed in the fire. At the time, Arlington Dock was the primary shipping facility for the city.

Caption: "Seattle Docks," c. 1914. Dock facilities at Seattle, showing a clock tower, as well as the G.T.P., or Grand Trunk Pacific, dock, a shipping pier at the end of Madison Street (the G.T.P. watchtower is visible at the far left of the photograph). This dock, built in 1910, was destroyed by a fire on July 30, 1914. It was rebuilt, but without the watchtower, and served the city until 1964 when it was demolished.

One side of a flier handed out by the San Antonio Reptile Garden in the mid-1930s entitled "Reptile Facts." The Reptile Garden opened in the 1930s as a fundraising facility for the Witte Museum. The Garden featured turtle races, snake handling demonstrations, fried rattlesnake meat, and rattlesnake dinner fund raisers. It also became a research center for the use of antivenom. The Garden closed in the early 1940s, its live snakes donated to the San Antonio Zoo.
