Caption: "S.P. Depot, Third St. S.F.," c. 1915, shows the Southern Pacific Railroad Depot on Third and Townsend Streets in San Francisco. The mission revival architectural - style depot was built as a temporary structure in 1914 to serve the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition. It remained in service for almost sixty years before it was demolished and replaced by a new station on 4th and King Streets in 1975-1976.

No caption. Commemorative U.S. postage stamp issued in 1931, featuring the Statue of Liberty, with the word "Liberty" on a scroll across the bottom of the stamp. This was only the second time the Statue of Liberty was featured on a postage stamp.

Caption: "Ruins of Call Building." Completed in 1898 and designed by civic leader Claus Spreckels, the Call building on the corner of 3rd and Market streets was one of the first skyscrapers in San Francisco, built to house the San Francisco Call newspaper offices. While the structure withstood the 1906 earthquake, the interior caught fire and sustained considerable damage. After major renovations, the building is today known as The Central Tower.
