With "United States Postage, Lindbergh Air Mail" written across the top, it shows the biplane Spirit of St. Louis, over a drawing of the Atlantic Ocean between New York and Paris. Issued in June 1927 as a tribute to Charles Lindbergh, who made the first non-stop flight between Paris and New York in May of that year.
